Friday Fill-In

From here.

1. I believe whatever doesn't kill you is preferable to whatever does kill you.

2. If you're good at something, you should brag about it constantly and annoy the shit out of everyone.

3. Why so judgemental?

4. Something is out there, it's plastics.

5. If my life were a sitcom, it would be titled My Two Husbands [the BHE refers to our black lab as my 2nd husband because of our inappropriately close relationship that I prefer to think of as a deep psychic connection.]

6. Sitting on my back porch I see ivy and dog poop.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to dinner here, tomorrow my plans include a baby shower for moi and Sunday, I want to set up the nursery, finally.

Love,
Fluffy

HA! Labradors are like that. My year old chocolate knows what I'm going to do before I do it half of the time!

Does your dog ever just walk up to you, set it's head on your lap, only to stare deeply into your eyes? Mine does that all the time.

My dog and I have a special connection, too.

Mostly I'm her bitch, and she likes it that way.

Oh yeah. Nursing stuff? That needs to wait. All I know is I'm going to rent a pump for a month or something until I'm sure I'm going to make it breast feeding and then we'll bite the bullet and buy one. I'm not looking forward to that. I've been pricing pumps and they are not cheap.

The stroller we got was the maxi cosi foray stroller and the mico infant car seat. It's like the bugaboo but more reasonably priced. I had a Graco or something all picked out and then a friend told me it was horrible in snow. Since I'm in Chicago and will need to the wheel the damn thing on snowy sidewalks, I switched to the foray.

That said, for most things (crib, stroller, car seat, etc) I've just been going by the user reviews on babies r us. There are 2 blogs I've been checking for reviews also: mommieswithstyle.com and http://thelittlehipster.blogspot.com/. They're pretty helpful, although mommieswithstyle.com has been around a lot longer so there are a lot more pages to wade through. But they gave my stroller a good review and that was one of the things that made me want to buy it.

Ok, now that I've written you a novel, I will let you digest all of that. I hope it helps. Feel free to email me anytime about any of this stuff. It's pretty overwhelming and I'm glad to have someone to talk baby stuff with.
